It’s been a few months since CD Projekt Red revealed the second major DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt after “Hearts of Stone” called “Blood and Wine”. And now, as to reward fans for their patience, the developer has published some gorgeous screenshots of the previously-unseen land of Touissant, which seems like a great, peaceful place: nice weather, good wine, beautiful ladies, fancy architecture, and utterly untouched by the scourge of war.
Pretty nice, isn’t it?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was one of the most popular games released last year and has since received hundreds of awards. The game itself features a massive open world full of things to do and see. But, iAs if that’s not enough, developer CD Projekt RED has since released a major expansion for the game called Hearts of Stone, which adds hours of new gameplay. Here is the next part which seems like a treat thanks to the colorful images and thousands of new objects.
The freshly released screens showcase the brightly-colored realm that also tells an intriguing little tale of Geralt’s first visit. Unfortunately, there are no many story details accompanied the unexpected announcement – although the studio promised to post more information in May. As seen on the screens, the expansion’s Toussaint region must be a more vibrant, luxurious, and bright one than those areas we have seen in the series so far. But it wouldn’t be a Witcher landscape after all if things didn’t seem a little more complicated under the surface, right? For example, even here , in peaceful land, we will see huge disgusting bugs. It wouldn’t be a Witcher series without them, anyway.
The screenshot’s original file name tells us this cutie is the Scolopendromorph. Try saying that!
The pictures were first released on thewitcher.com and feature a quote from Marcin Momot, Senior Social Media and Community Coordinator, CD PROJEKT RED:
“I can already tell you Blood and Wine is a fascinating story, with every sort of twist and turn you’d expect from our writers. Toussaint, the new realm we’re creating for the expansion, is unlike anything you’ve seen in Wild Hunt – carefree and colorful, but your gut never stops telling you that there’s some real dark stuff happening underneath all that. We’ll be revealing more information in May however, to sweeten the wait, here are some fresh screenshots from the expansion!”.
We remind you that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As for now, “Blood and Wine” is still expected in the first half of 2016 as per the original announcement, although no firm date has been still given. Let’s be patient and, hopefully, we will see at least some new screens soon.
