SSD Price to Drop Capacity to Soar

As with all new technology out there, they are bound to get better and cheaper over time. Pretty soon HDDs will be obsolete and no longer needed. According to predictions at InformationWeek, SSD pricing could become 1:1 with mechanical hard drives in late 2016. So if you will, imagine getting a 4TB SSD for about $150, wouldn’t that be a sweet deal? With  3D NAND, a few vendors have promised bigger hard drives by the end of the year.  SanDisk said it will expect to ship 8TB SSDs this year, and 16TB next year. No that is is a huge jump forward for hard drives and storage in general. I am super excited to see what great new technology will be coming out soon, and how SSDs will change mobile side as well. Pretty soon, SSDs will be a no brainier and HDDs will be a thing of the past.
